About Us and the Chateau
The Château Třebešice has a rich history dating back to a Gothic water fortress from 1309. The manor was extensively rebuilt in Renaissance and Baroque styles over the centuries and fell into disrepair after World War II. In 2000, we—Alberto Di Stefano, an architect and gallerist, and Eugenio Percossi, an artist—acquired the property as a passion project and began its extensive, gradual renovation. The château is situated in the heart of the Czech Republic, just a few minutes from the magnificent UNESCO World Heritage city of Kutná Hora, approximately one hour east of Prague. Visitors can easily explore its stunning monuments, including the Church of St. Barbara and the Sedlec Ossuary.
Our goal was not just to restore the historical buildings and sprawling grounds, but to breathe new life into them. The château is surrounded by extensive, beautiful, and ever-blooming gardens that we have carefully designed and maintained. These gardens, complete with a working drawbridge and moat, provide a stunning backdrop to the historical architecture.
The château now serves as our private residence, a unique bed and breakfast, and a vibrant hub for contemporary art, hosting exhibitions and artistic workshops. The suites themselves function as individual art galleries, each designed in a unique style.
