Charlotte Schrotter Radnitz (Lotte Frumi, 1899 - 1986)), An Avant-Garde Linear Female Nude Study, Czechoslovakia, 1926

Charlotte Schrötter-Radnitz (Lotte Frumi) was a prominent avant-garde Czech-Italian painter whose rare, surviving works are highly sought after due to the tragic loss of much of her estate during WWII and the Venice floods. 

As a founding member of the influential Prager Secession and the sister of Nobel Prize laureate Gerty Cori, she was a key figure in the interwar European art scene, exhibiting at the prestigious Venice Biennale (1926, 1948) and the landmark 1937 Les femmes artistes d'Europe exhibition in Paris. 

Deeply influenced by Oskar Kokoschka and the Italian Valori Plastici movement, her distinctive style blends Central European expressionism with Mediterranean classicism. 
Today, her works are proudly preserved in elite institutions, including the National Gallery Prague and the Jewish Museum in Prague.

Good vintage condition corresponding to its age. The paper shows a natural, soft cream-toned patina with very light, minor foxing spots that do not affect the main artwork. Unframed.
