This authentic Murano glass bowl, designed by Tobia Scarpa for Venini in Italy, dates to 1959 and exemplifies mid-century modern elegance.
Renowned for its exceptional craftsmanship, the piece features a wheel-carved surface likely created with the battuto technique, lending a distinctive textured finish.
Its organic form is enhanced by encased gold leaf inclusions, a prized element in Murano glass. Signed on the underside with HDK/KW, 20.2.1959, the bowl shows minor age-related wear typical of its era but remains in very good condition. Measuring 13.5 cm in diameter and 8.5 cm high, it is a sophisticated addition to any art glass collection.
