This distinguished Aka Raku tea bowl represents the refined tradition of Japanese ceramic artistry.

Crafted by Heian Waraku, a kiln descended from Kyoto's historic Waraku lineage, the piece showcases the characteristic deep reddish-orange hue and intricate crackle glaze distinctive to red Raku ware. Each hand-formed vessel is entirely unique, bearing the subtle variations that mark authentic artisanal creation.

The bowl arrives in a traditional paulownia wood box, inscribed with calligraphy identifying both the work and its maker—a testament to the kiln's esteemed heritage, which has earned imperial recognition since the Edo period.

Measuring 15.5cm in diameter and 5.5cm in height, this mid-20th century example remains in excellent condition, offering a tangible connection to Japan's venerable ceramic traditions.
