An elegant and large late 19th-century Victorian ironstone/earthenware footed punch or centerpiece bowl. The bowl is decorated in the vivid "Chang" pattern, featuring a beautiful Chinoiserie oriental garden scene. The exterior displays hand-painted polychrome enamel highlights over a transfer-printed design, depicting traditional Asian figures in a garden setting surrounded by vibrant stylized flowers, narcissi, and floral foliage.
Manufactured in Burslem, Staffordshire, England by the renowned potters Edge, Malkin & Co. (active under this name and mark between 1871 and 1891).
