This antique Japanese color woodblock print (ukiyo-e) from the late Edo period is an original creation by the esteemed and prolific master Utagawa Kunisada (Toyokuni III). The print captures the liveliness of a sumo wrestling tournament (known as Kanjin Ōsumō Torikumi no zu), a popular motif in the ukiyo-e genre.
